About: Media akademija is a Lithuania-based partner working at the intersection of media practice, communication, and public engagement.

In PERiSCOPE: Media akademija supports PERiSCOPE’s work on both legal empowerment and public awareness. It conducts mapping and analysis of recent SLAPP cases across Europe and delivers accessible legal literacy training that helps journalists, civil society and other actors recognise, respond to and mitigate SLAPP threats using real case studies and interactive exercises. Media akademija also co-develops a public awareness media pack on AI-driven disinformation and deepfakes, producing infographics, explainer videos and short guides that promote verification habits and responsible sharing practices.
